Mission & Vision

What Sets Us Apart

Our Vision is to Cultivate Christian ExCellence.

Spring Vale’s Mission is to prepare Christian Leaders well versed in God’s Word and ready to fulfill His calling.

Students attending Spring Vale receive high-quality, Christian values-based instruction. Our graduates are well prepared for acceptance to the nation’s top higher education institutions, but with a very significant difference. Through positive role models and in words and deeds, the Spring Vale experience prepares students to stay true to their values and embrace Christ throughout life.

History

Our History

Spring Vale was founded in 1946 by members of the Church of God (Seventh Day). Since then, Spring Vale has graduated more than 750 students, most of whom have gone on to college.

Many have distinguished themselves in graduate work, achieving advanced degrees, and serving in leadership positions within the Church and public service and the private sector.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

The following is the foundation of beliefs for Spring Vale Christian School.
  1. We believe that salvation is solely by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ, and that faith without works is dead.
  2. We believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ His only Son, our Lord. Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and was born of a virgin, Mary. He was beaten, crucified, died, and was buried. He rose again on the third day and ascended into Heaven where He sits at the right hand of God Almighty.
  3.  We believe that the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is God’s inspired Word. Inerrant in its original writing, the Bible is the only authoritative and infallible rule of faith and conduct for humanity.
  4. We believe the church of God in Scripture is a spiritual body of believers who hold the faith of Jesus and keep the commandments of God. Under the lordship of Christ and the authority of His Word, the church exists universally and locally for purposes of worshipping God, preaching the gospel, nurturing believers, and serving humanity.
  5. We believe the seventh-day Sabbath is God’s gift to humanity from creation, was written into the Ten Commandments by God’s finger, kept and taught by Jesus, and observed by the apostolic church.
  6. We believe that God defined marriage as the life-long covenant between one man and one woman and that all forms of sexual activity outside of marriage are sin.
  7. We believe Christians are called to holiness in thought, word, and deed and to express faith in Christ through devotion to God and godly interaction with others.
  8. We believe that believers should develop a close relationship with God through Bible reading and study, prayer, worship, and obedience.
SVCS was established in 1946 by members of the Church of God 7th Day. We honor students and their families’ individual Christian beliefs and respectfully refer students to their family and local church for implementation of their own personal faith and practices.
